Cullen818 Pursued by CareMarie

* Author Name: Cullen818

* Stories: Fate/Love/Hope Trilogy, A Reason to Exist, Innocence Lost, Bella's Secret and several one-shots

CareMarie: Tell us a little bit about yourself:
Cullen818: I'm a thirty something stay at home mom. I freelance write for a Broadway website and occasionally substitute teach. I love reading, writing and kick boxing.

CareMarie: How did you get introduced into Fan Fiction?
Cullen818: After reading the Twilight series, I was so obsessed that I googled Twilight and stumbled upon FF.

CareMarie: Do you remember the first story you read?
Cullen818: It was called Sweet Thing by La Vie Pastiche.

CareMarie: Is there a story behind your pen name?
Cullen818: Not really. 818 is my birthday. Had I had known that my penname was going to be so recognizable, I would have been a bit more creative. lol I didn't think anyone would read my fics.

CareMarie: What stories are you reading right now?
Cullen818: Learning to Kneel, Million Dollar Baby, For the Love of My Obsession and Love My Hate

CareMarie: Do you have a favorite character and if so, why that character?
Cullen818: Jasper is my absolute fave. He intrigued me in the books because I like history and his backstory was interesting. When I found him in the world of FF, I couldn't get enough of him.

--Stories--
CareMarie: First off, tell us a little bit about your stories:
Cullen818: I'm a Jasper author usually, although I do have a oneshot starring Peter and one with Alec. I swore that I'd only write them as vamps because that's who they are, but then I got the idea for Bella's Secret and I realized Jasper needed to be human for it to work.

CareMarie: Why did you pick the pairings that you did?
Cullen818: I love Edward, but when I decided to write I felt there wasn't much left for me to do with him at the time. When I started writing FF, Jasper wasn't as big as he is today and I felt that there weren't that many stories where he got his HEA, so I decided to write one for him.

CareMarie: Do you have a favorite point of view to write in?
Cullen818: I love writing in the male POV...Jasper, Edward, Peter or Carlisle

CareMarie: Was there a part in the Twilight Saga that inspired you?
Cullen818: Eclipse was my favorite book and I loved Jasper's chapter. Surprised?

CareMarie: How did you decide to post your stories?
Cullen818: It was a total spur of the moment decision. I posted the first two chapters of Fate Has Brought Us Here and within an hour, I started receiving e-mails with reviews. People were like,"Post More!" and I was like, "I don't have anymore!" That was over a year and a half ago, and I haven't stopped since.

CareMarie: Have you ever changed your story outline based off of a review? If so, what was the review and what did you change?
Cullen818: (This is a great question!) I've gotten lots of nasty reviews and PM's from frustrated readers who don't always like the direction I take the story in. I can appreciate people getting emotional but readers have to understand that this is the author's vision. So, while I may considering pulling a story from time to time, no, I would never change the direction I'm headed in.

CareMarie: Do any of your characters in your story remind you of yourself?
Cullen818: Not really. I usually try to stay true to SM's versions.
