“Jasper and Scott are going to be furious.” Rosalie smiled. “Sure hate to miss that.”

Folding the last of her carefully chosen wardrobe into a designer bag, Alice shook her head. “This isn’t about making them mad, Rose. They need us there. They don’t know it yet, but they do.”

Diane snickered. “Yeah, ticking them off is just a cool side-effect.” She easily caught the shoe Alice chucked at her head. “What? They deserve a shake up. They should’ve never left us here in the first place.”

Rosalie checked her nails and went back to painting them. “You know, some might say you sound like a whiny little bi—” She ducked when the shoe came flying her way, smiling back at Diane when it lodged in the wall. “I’ll let you explain that to Esme.”

Storming over to the wall, Diane jerked it out. Growling at the now larger hole, she punched into it. “What do you know, Rose? Huh? Emmett will be home soon! Gone for a whopping two weeks. Three when you count travel time. Big deal! What a trial.” She gestured between herself and Alice. “If we don’t do this, then who knows how long we’ll have to wait.”
