Thank you so much for offering this giveaway! I LOVE Amazon, so my fingers are crossed for luck.
ReplyDeleteAs for my question as per the Rafflecopter, what book are you currently reading (or the last book if you aren't reading one now)? What are some of your favorite books by others?
Thanks once again!
Best Wishes,
Lindsey V.
Hi Lindsey, I just finished the Wool Omnibus by Hugh Howey. Before that, The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick. I recommend both. I read just about everything and my favorites change over time.
DeleteI was wondering how you came up with the idea for this book?
ReplyDeleteVannah B is my facebook name for the giveway!
I get this question often but the truth is, I'm not sure. Inspiration comes from where? Everywhere I guess. All of my experiences.
DeleteThank you for the giveaway! How long have you been writing?
ReplyDeleteI've been writing as a hobby for over a decade and professionally for about three years.
DeleteAre any of your characters based on people you know? Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteNo. However, all of my characters are a conglomeration of personality traits of people I've met.
DeleteYour cover art is amazing! My question is what strengths do you see in your characters that you see in yourself or wish you had?
ReplyDeletethanks for the great giveaway, looking forward to checking out your books
Malini is much more confident in her abilities than I was at her age. I love her decisiveness.
DeleteHi G.P.Ching!. Thanks for this excellent giveaway. My question is: What is the most rewarding thing about being an author?
ReplyDeleteLove,
Naz :)
While many aspects of being an author are rewarding, especially having fans who are touched by my work in some way, I am a caregiver for a sick family member and being an author has allowed me the flexibility to work around doctor's appointments and such. I'm really thankful for that.
Deletehowdy G.P..
ReplyDeletethx u for ur donation...
i love ur books covers too ;0
Thank you! This cover was created by Adam Bedore of Anjin Design.
DeleteMy question was how did you come up with the idea for this series but I see it has already been asked. I'll change it a little and ask how do you decide on the names of your characters?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
If a name doesn't just pop into my head when I picture a character, I use a baby names book and try to find one with a meaning close to the characters personality.
DeleteThanks for the Giveaway!
ReplyDeleteAs for my Question to G.P.Ching.....
What made you decide that you wanted to be a writer?
Writing is one of those careers you don't really decide on, you just do or don't do. That is to say that most fiction authors do all of the work upfront and only when the book is done find out if they can make a career out of it. So, I've always written stories, since the time I could hold a crayon, but my readers made me an author.
DeleteBeing hat you are an adult now, do you find it difficult to write a young adult series? I can understand a stand alone, but I would think keeping a plot going for multiple books in a series would be difficult.
ReplyDeleteThe characters in The Soulkeepers Series have always seemed real to me, so it's been easy to tell their story as they have revealed it to me. I know that seems strange but it hasn't been as difficult as you might think.
DeleteWere do you find name and background character for your books?
ReplyDeleteIt's look very hard to find info for your character.
I don't go looking for it. It comes from somewhere within me, from my experiences I guess.
DeleteWhat kind of books do you enjoy reading?
ReplyDeleteI read books in every genre but tend to gravitate toward literary, young adult, romance, fantasy, thrillers and light Sci Fi. I recently finished Matthew Quick's Silver Linings Playbook and am looking forward to reading Dan Brown's Inferno.
DeleteWhat Is the reason you decide to write or become a author instead of any other choice of careers?
ReplyDeleteActually, my undergraduate degree is in accounting and I have second degree in nursing. I am a RN in the state of IL. I worked for a major corporation for over a decade as an Information Technology manager. I always wrote fiction as a hobby and didn't expect it to become a career until it was! I am very thankful, however, for this twist of fate in my life because it has allowed me to do what I am most passionate about.
DeleteMy question is ; What room or place is your favorite to write in? Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAny coffeehouse will do!
DeleteFor the first book of the Soulkeepers series (the only book of the series I've read so far, to admit), how did you decide how much focus to put onto race? It seems like a major theme in the book, but not enough to put it into "issues book" territory.
ReplyDeleteWhat inspirations, if any, did you use in flessh out the series' plot?
ReplyDeleteWhere do you get your inspiration?
