When twenty-one-year-old Leah Carter's latest one night stand burglarizes her apartment, her roommate forces her to attend therapy for sex addicts. Leah insists she isn't a sex addict; she just doesn't do relationships. After all, sooner or later, everyone lets you down.

At first, the group sessions are little more than an education on how to be promiscuous. Until she meets the newest addict—blue eyes, killer body, and a smile that tempts relapse.

Psychology student Will McLean is posing as a fellow addict while researching a case study on unusual addictions. But the more he learns about Leah, the more certain he is that his desire to break through her walls and unearth her secrets has nothing to do with his assignment.

As the uncertainties spike alongside the sexual tension, the only thing Leah knows for sure is that falling in love would be disastrous. Too bad love might be one addiction she can't kick.

Humorous, heartwarming, and addicting, Addicted to You  was just the lakeside read I needed. Though I expected a grittier storyline because of the subject matter, I enjoyed every aspect of the book and finished it in one sitting.

Leah, a twenty-one-year-old attending therapy for sex addicts, is a lovable grumpy beauty who doesn't believe she has a problem. In my opinion, she doesn't have one either, at least not a major one of the sexual variety. Her problems stem from her family and the fact she doesn't let anyone in deeper than skin—not even that. She hides behind a facade of a stone-cold ice queen. But when she does care, she cares—deeply. She's loyal, nurturing, and determined, especially when it comes to her younger brother whom she raised and her one friend and roommate, Helena, who forced her into therapy.

Enter Will, a sizzling-hot, down-to-earth Scot. Attending the therapy sessions, he does have a problem.
"My weekends are usually spent with multiple strangers. Also, I have two closets full of porn at home, organised by hardcore level and/or fetish and I go through three tubes of lubricant a week. I think I might have a problem."
Too bad his problem is that all of that is a lie. Attending sex therapy under pretense, he's researching for a professor's book. As he gets to know Leah, he learns how much they have in common and struggles between his assignment, telling her the truth, and the addiction he now has of her.

I loved their interaction. Leah has a bit of an attitude, which is transparent in her narration and actions, yet it's the kind of attitude that made me smirk, laugh, and choke on my drink. Will has genuine charm that could melt anyone into puddle. Together, these two kept me smiling and warmth—sometimes, even heat—to rise from my chest to my face.

The secondary characters were just as fantastic, distinctive and jumping from the page. I especially adored Finn, Will's bisexual friend. I want a story focused on him so he can get his happily ever after.

I could've done with more of the sex (Hi, I'm Raina, and I'm addicted to reading steamy scenes). Because the premise included sex addiction, I expected ... well, more of it. There is a good amount of UST (unresolved sexual tension), but no raw, gritty, downward-spiraling sex that comes with the hindering affliction; hence, why I don't believe Leah had a true problem of sex addiction.

I did, however, appreciate the fact that the subject was broached spot-on. Sex as an addiction is like alcohol in alcoholism. Both start from deeper problems and cloak them as a way to drown them out or fill a hole. Addicted to You  isn't so much about sex or addiction but about the trigger, and the author delivered them with nice depth yet lightly enough to make the book and romance highly enjoyable.

Well-developed characters, enchanting relationships, and a thorough plot, Addicted to You  was a more-than-satisfying New Adult Romance that still somehow left me wanting more. It was fast, fun, sexy. I can see myself becoming addicted to the author's work, and I'm looking forward to it.
